Steel Fabrication Estimator/ Project Manager

 

We are a small, but growing, custom steel fabrication shop looking to add a highly motivated and competent Estimator/Project Manager to the team. This position will be responsible for managing cost estimates, proposals, take offs and related documents.

Job Responsibilities will include:

• Perform material take-offs for structural and miscellaneous steel

• Prepare work to be estimated by gathering proposals, blueprints, specifications, and related documents

• Analyze blueprints and other documents, to prepare time, cost, material and labor estimates.

• Perform field measurements of site and/or potential project

• Completing and submitting estimates and material orders

• Maintaining a directory of suppliers, contractors and sub-contractors

 

Ideal Candidate Must Have:

• Thorough knowledge of reading and understanding blueprints

• General knowledge of construction materials, and standard bid practices within the industry

• Understanding of process flow to ensure information released to Project Management is complete, accurate and well organized.

This salary will commensurate with experience, and is negotiable.
